This guideline was developed by the volunteer Primary Care Guideline Committee of Hypertension Canada and was supported by Hypertension Canada. We followed GRADE14 and ADAPTE97 frameworks to develop the recommendations in accordance with the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation (AGREE II) quality and reporting standards.98
