Dr. Joan C. Krepinsky

Dr. Krepinsky is a clinician-scientist with the Division of Nephrology at McMaster University. Her lab studies the molecular mechanisms underlying development and progression of kidney fibrosis from hypertension and diabetes. Recent collaborative work with vascular expert Dr. Jeff Dickhout (McMaster) explores the anti-hypertensive and vascular effect of follistatin, an activin inhibitor. The lab is funded by various granting agencies and benefits from important contributions from students at all levels.
