Dr. Greg Hundemer, MD MPH, MD MPH

Staff Nephrologist and Associate Professor | The Ottawa Hospital/ University of Ottawa

Dr. Greg Hundemer is a staff nephrologist at the Ottawa Hospital, an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa, and a Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. His clinical and research interests focus on aldosterone-mediated hypertension and vascular disease. Specifically, his work focuses on improving treatment algorithms for primary aldosteronism and the impact of subclinical forms of aldosterone excess. His research has been funded by the CIHR, NIH, Kidney Foundation of Canada, and Lorna Jocelyn Wood Chair in Kidney Research. He also serves as Co-Chair for the Hypertension Canada Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee.
