It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Peter Bolli, recipient of Hypertension Canada’s Distinguished Service Award in 2019 and Certificate of Excellence in 2015. Dr. Bolli was a dedicated physician and a renowned researcher in hypertension. His career took him around the world, and he continued his clinical practice and research until his early 80s. Dr. Bolli was a beloved teacher at Memorial University and McMaster’s Faculty of Medicine, and he received numerous awards for his contributions to public health, particularly in the field of hypertension management. He is survived by his son Marc Bolli (Amanda) and sister-in-law Fränzi Bertram. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hypertension Canada in recognition of Dr. Bolli’s work.
