Hypertension Canada’s Trainee Travel Awards
Funded by Vancouver Hypertension 2010
Hypertension Canada is offering travel awards to support the participation of trainees at the 2020 Canadian Hypertension Congress, taking place September 24 to 26 at Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel, Montreal Quebec.
The award amount has been determined based on the applicant’s geographic location:
$1,250 – British Columbia, Northern Territories
$1,100 – Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland
$800 – Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island
$700 – Quebec (excluding Montreal and area)
$250 – Montreal and area, 514/450
To qualify for a trainee travel award, the applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
- Be selected to present either an oral or poster presentation,
- Be registered and attend the congress,
- Have trainee status (undergraduate/graduate student or post-doctoral fellow),
- Be a current member of Hypertension Canada.
Applicants must indicate their request for travel support on the abstract submission form (by checking the student/trainee Travel Award box).
