Sodium Reduction Strategy for Canada – Recommendations of the Sodium Working Group

This report is the culmination of over two years of work by the Sodium Working Group, which was established by the former Minister of Health in late 2007 to develop a population health strategy for reducing sodium intake among Canadians. The recommendations provided in this report are directed at all levels of government, non-governmental organizations, consumers, industry and other relevant stakeholders.

Hypertension Management – CHEP 2010 Recommendations and the latest Hypertension Canada educational resources
It is anticipated that after the session participants will be able to apply the 2010 Canadian Hypertension Education Program (CHEP) guidelines in their practice and use the Hypertension Canada resources to educate their colleagues and when counseling patients diagnosed with hypertension. A presentation of the latest CHEP Recommendations and Hypertension Canada resources will be followed by a discussion of different case studies with participants and experts.
This course is accredited for 5 CME credits.

Canadian Hypertension Clinic Network

The clinic network is an initiative of the Canadian Hypertension Society and the CIHR Canada Chair in Hypertension Prevention and Control. The network aims to connect hypertension clinics across Canada. The first meeting of the Network will be held at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress on Monday October 22, 2007 from 0900 to 1200 in Quebec City.
